KORONADAL CITY – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA-12) has created a new approach to reach the unreached and to serve the underserved areas in the region.

Soldiers and policemen have gathered for the 3-day “Multiplier Training” for the “TESDA Dose’s Project TALA or TESDA Alay ay Liwanag at Asenso.”

The training was aimed to equip the police and military personnel with different approaches as they will train the Indigenous Peoples in the far-flung areas in Region 12.

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday expressed confidence that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program is “already paying off,” considering the significant gains achieved by the military to maintain peace and order in the country.

In a speech delivered before his troops at the Clark Air Base in Pampanga, Duterte said he had approved the proposed acquisition of more combat utility helicopters for the AFP to allow soldiers to fulfill their role in protecting the entire nation.

In his opening salvo, Duterte hits Sen. Franklin Drilon for defending the oligarch in the country who destroys and manipulates the economy and for being politically bias during the last elections. 

"It is sad that while the government focuses its attention and resources to battle the coronavirus there are those who take advantage of a pre-occupied government," the President said.

COTABATO CITY  – As part of recognition for their contributions to the country’s coffers while working and earning abroad, the now distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have received financial assistance from the government.

KBP STATEMENT ON THE DENIAL OF ABS-CBN'S FRANCHISE BY CONGRESS

This is a black day not only for ABS-CBN, whose application for a new
franchise has been killed by Congress. It is a black day for the
Broadcast Media and all Filipinos who believe in the promotion of media
platforms to serve as marketplaces for the free discourse of ideas.

We believe that ABS-CBN bravely and ably defended itself against the
charges hurled at it, justifying why it is entitled to the Franchise it
sought from Congress.

COTABATO CITY --- The police and military assured Sunday to support the security initiatives of North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco as contained in the provincial peace and order and public safety plan for 2020 to 2021.

The plan is necessary for the release of intelligence funds from the provincial coffer. 

Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana of the Western Mindanao Command said Sunday units of the 602nd Brigade deployed in North Cotabato will complement Catamco's peace and development thrusts based on the POPSP 2020-2021. 

COTABATO CITY - Celebrating its 51st journey in empowering Filipino families, the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) XII and the Population Division of the Office of Social Welfare and Development Services-Cotabato City, along with its 30 Barangay Service Point Officers, gathered last February 19 at the POPCOM XII Conference Hall, Cotabato City to revisit the agency’s 51 years of service.

KORONADAL CITY - In support to the corporate order issued by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth), the Philhealth Region 12 celebrated its 25th anniversary with a thanksgiving mass on February 14, 2020 at the Christ the King Cathedral here.

The mass was presided over by Fr. Romeo Catedral, Vicar I of St. Anthony parish.

In his homily, Fr. Catedral challenged all employees to show compassion, love and mercy while serving the community not just today but every day.

KIDAPAWAN CITY - For lack of evidence, the graft complaint against North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco was dismissed by the Office of the Ombudsman.

In a resolution, the resolution dismissing the complaint against Catamco (then named in the case as Nancy Perez) was signed by Rayman L. Rafael, assistant special prosecutor II; and Tirso Q. Vargas, assistant special prosecutor I, of the Office of the Ombudsman.
