ARMM offers incentives to bank, non-banking institutions to invest in the region

The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) will be granting incentives to banks and non-bank financing institutions and facilities to include Islamic banking and finance. The expanded ARMM Organic Act (Republic Act No. 9054) allows ARMM to give incentives to banks and other non-bank financial institutions that are based or have its principal base of business in ARMM.


Tetangco says Brexit still has limited impact on PHL

MANILA -- Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando M. Tetangco Jr. continues to see limited impact on the Philippine economy of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union (EU).This even after UK trigged this week the Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, marking the start of the legal process of Britain’s exit from EU which is expected to be finished in two years.Tetangco said this latest development has thus far not resulted any palpable impact because I think the markets are also waiting for how this will going to move forward.


ARMM approves PH-32-M cold storage, fish processing investment in Tawi-Tawi

COTABATO CITY - The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) approved today the application for registration of Abing Seafoods and Cold Storage (ASCS). The company based in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi will engage in a Php 32 million marine resource business. The ASCS is into responsible and rational buy and sale of various commercially important fishery resources in Tawi-Tawi for local and international markets.


RBOI-ARMM visits Bukidnon to study investment practices

COTABATO CITY– A delegation from the
Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao regional government led by the Regional
Board of Investments (RBOI) visited Bukidnon on March 6 to 9 to learn about
ethical investment practices through a study trip facilitated by Hineleban
Foundation Incorporated (HFI).

HFI has worked with Unifrutti
Philippines Inc., which recorded the biggest foreign investment in the ARMM in
2015 with a P3.7 billion banana plantation in Maguindanao Province.


Micro entrepreneurs to benefit from joint DTI, PandG program

COTABATO CITY -- Some 20,000 to 30,000 micro
entrepreneurs nationwide stand to benefit from an agreement between the
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Procter and Gamble (PandampG) aimed
at helping them

develop their business skills, and gain
access to start-up capital.

The agreement dubbed PandampG Angat Kita
Program is designed to help sari-sari storeowners and other
micro-entrepreneurs advance their skills through seminars provided by the DTI’s
Negosyo Centers.

DA, BFAR donate stainless tables for Cotabato City market vendors

COTABATO CITY – The Department of Agriculture (DA)
has donated stainless tables for fish vendors in Cotabato City mega market, administrator
Sam Mundas said in a statement.

Mundas, city market administrator, said the
stainless tables were released to the city government through the Bureau of
Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and through the efforts of DA Undersecretary
Atty. Ranibai Dilangalen.

CLPC now PH distribution code compliant, assures reliable power supply, quality services

Power Company (CLPC) successfully passed the Philippine Distribution Code
