3 malls to open in Cotabato City this year

COTABATO CITY -- Three privately-owned malls are set to open this year in the city and building construction have started, officials said Tuesday.The three malls are the Mall of Alnor, Puregold and CityMall.The Mall of Alnor, Puregold and the Superama Hypermart, a department store and supermarket, are set to open in May this year, according to Aniceto Rasalan, secretary to Mayor Japal Guiani Jr.The City Mall, a Double Dragon Corporation Mall is expected to start operation late this year or early 2016. Less brownout in Mindanao as 105 MW power restored to Mindanao’s grid

Cotabato City eyes influx of investments in 2015

COTABATO CITY -- Several foreign groups of companies are expected to pour in investments to Cotabato City this year, officials said Monday. A group of Malaysian investors have already finished putting up a water distilling plant with its equipment needed will be delivered anytime soon. According to Secretary to the Mayor Aniceto Rasalan, the objective of the Malaysian investors in building the plant in the city is to set an affordable price of the distilled drinking water that will surely compete with the commercial brands that are available in the city.

Tacurong's BOSS earns P9.4-M in January alone

TACURONG CITY -- The local government of Tacurong City on Thursday announced it earned a record Php9.4 million during the first 30 days of 2015 in business registration, licensing and renewal of business permits, officials said.Through its prestigious and determined campaign dubbed as Business One-Stop Shop or BOSS, the month-long campaign earned Php9,467,852.11 from 1,179 business establishments.Tacurong City Mayor Lina Montilla said the feat was achieved due to the extra efforts of the Tacurong City Treasurer's Office and the business sectors in the city.

ARMM investment up despite Mamasapano clash

COTABATO CITY -- The recent incident in Mamasapano in Maguindanao failed to weaken the enthusiasm of investors over prospectsof pouring money in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.Two projects with a combined value of P863.05 million are now up for final approval, the ARMM Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) announced today after the go signal issued by the board's management committee (Mancom).The two projects have been cleared of technical and procedural hurdles, said RBOI.

Tacurong boosts 2014 collection efficiency

TACURONG CITY – Tax and
non-tax collection in this bustling city was at its best in 2014, the city
treasurer’s office today said.

In a statement, City
Treasurer Jessie Batchar announced that the city’s tax and non-tax collection
efficiency in fiscal year 2014 reached a whopping 106.4 percent.

Batchar said the CTO actual
collection amounted to Php82.9 million in 2014, greater than the target
collection of P77.9 million.
