Cotabato Light supports emergency medical services

COTABATO CITY - Just recently, the Cotabato Light and Power Company and Aboitiz Foundation Inc., donated an array of medical supplies that is essential to emergency medical services of the Bureau of Fire.

The items distributed include computer set, first aid kit, medicines and other medical supplies.

These donations came in  time as the BFP will activate its Emergency Medical Services in order to efficiently deliver emergency and medical-related services to the public. Greatly help the community in providing assistance in emergency response situations.

Duterte names Dionardo Carlos as next PNP chief

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte has named Lt. Gen. Dionardo Carlos as the next chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Malacañang announced on Wednesday.

Duterte signed Carlos’ appointment paper on Wednesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press statement.

Roque said Carlos' appointment will take effect on Nov. 13.

Army says Dawlah Islamiyah terrorist Salahuddin Hassan, wife killed in Maguindanao

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao  – The military here announced today the neutralization of one of the country’s most wanted terrorists during pre-dawn law enforcement operations in Maguindanao.

Major General Juvymax Uy, 6th Infantry Division commander, told a news conference Friday morning that Salahuddin Hassan and his wife were killed during law enforcement operation in a remote village in Talayan, Maguindanao.

Until his death, Hassan a.k.a. Orak/Salah/Tulea/Abu Salman was the leader of one of Dawla Islamiya terror group operating in south-central Mindanao.

Kinilala ang biktima na si Roger Canilao, 66 anyos, residente ng Purok Maharlika ng nasabing barangay.

Batay sa report ng Koronadal PNP traffic, pauwi na sana si Canilao ngunit nahagip ito ng Isuzu MUX na pagmamay-ari ng PAG-IBIG at minamaneho ni Angelito Sorita.

21 year old Abu Sayyaf member surrenders

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A young member of the Sulu-based Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has surrendered in Tawi-Tawi, bringing the number of bandits who yielded in the province this year to four, the military announced Tuesday.

Col. Romeo Racadio, Joint Task Force (JTF)-Tawi-Tawi commander, identified the ASG surrenderer as Maja Misal, 21, who carries the aliases "Abu Madz" and "Abu Mitz".

In a statement, Racadio said Misal, whose father was also an ASG member, surrendered to his personnel in Bongao town on Monday and turned over a Carbine rifle with ammunition.

PRO-BARMM seeks public, politicians’ support for peaceful polls

COTABATO CITY – Police authorities in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao have called on all political leaders in particular and the public in general to help make the 2022 elections in the region peaceful and orderly.

Interior and Local Government Minister Naguib Sinarimbo, also BARMM spokesperson, said he support the police campaign to ensure peaceful balloting next year.

He said it was the dream of BARMM Chief Minsiter Ahod Ebrahim to allow the people to freely choose their leaders in a democratic process.

BARMM-funded P8-million rice processing complex soon to rise in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY – An Php8-million worth rice processing complex (RPC), funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), is expected to rise in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao by February 2022. 
 
The RPC, which will be equipped with newly introduced technologies, aims to help farmers from the town and its neighboring areas increase their income by reducing post-harvest losses and produce high-quality milled rice.

9-month old baby, nakalunok ng push pin sa Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY -  Kinakailangan maoperahan ang isang nine-month old baby sa Kidapawan City matapos nitong makalunok ng push pin.

Ayon sa nanay, umoorder lang sila sa isang milkteashop nang hindi nito namalayang nakuha pala ng kanyang baby ang push pin sa naturang shop.

Mabilisan pang kinuha ng nanay ang push pin sa bibig ng bata subalit nalunok na niya ito.

2 BIFF bandits, soldier killed in latest Maguindanao hostilities 

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao --- Two members of a local terror group and a soldier were killed in a gunfight Thursday in Shariff Saydona Mustapha town, Army officials said Saturday.

The slain Sgt, Jungie Dizon was in a team dispatched to check the reported presence of members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in an interior barangay in Shariff Saydona Mustapha when they were attacked from two directions, provoking a gunfight that resulted in his death.

Nakilala ang biktima Atty. Juan Macababbad kung saan pinagbabaril ng dalawang suspek sa harap mismo ng kanyang bahay sa Surallah.

Kinumpirma din ito ni IBP South Cotabato chapter president Lawyer Remegio Roxas at kinundina ang mga gumawa nito.

Hiling ni Atty. Roxas at mga kapuwa abogado sa lalawigan sa PNP na kilalanin at arestuhin ang mga suspect, pati na ang utak sa pagpatay.
