COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Parliament has given its resounding approval for a measure that will establish a Science High School, giving students interested in science and technology careers a better opportunity to pursue them.

The bill, with a vote of 48-0-1, reflects the collective commitment of the Parliament to provide Bangsamoro students with opportunities to excel in science and technology without needing to seek education outside the region.

COTABATO CITY - Residents of Tabuan Lasa, an island municipality in Basilan, are to benefit from a P15 million worth desalination facility project that could supply them safe drinking water from the sea, the first ever in the province.

In separate statements Sunday, Tabuan Lasa Mayor Moner Sabbihi Manisan and Basilan Governor Jim Hataman Salliman said the project, funded by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, was launched last Friday.

KORONADAL CITY - A magnitude 5.4 earthquake rocks Sarangani province at 11:35 p.m. Monday with the Phivolcs saying it was tectonic in origin.

Phivolcs said the tremor was traced 36 kilometers south of Maitum, Sarangani province and has a depth of only 6 kilometers.

Sinabi ni Macabanding na ang mga biktima ay sakay ng payong-payong tricycle pauwi ng kanilang bahay nang pagbabarilin ng di pa nakilalang gunman alas 6 ng gabi.

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim extended his wishes for a peaceful and meaningful celebration of Eid'l Adha to the Bangsamoro people and the entire Muslim Ummah during the celebration of Eid'l Adha on Wednesday, June 28.
