9-month old baby, nakalunok ng push pin sa Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY -  Kinakailangan maoperahan ang isang nine-month old baby sa Kidapawan City matapos nitong makalunok ng push pin.

Ayon sa nanay, umoorder lang sila sa isang milkteashop nang hindi nito namalayang nakuha pala ng kanyang baby ang push pin sa naturang shop.

Mabilisan pang kinuha ng nanay ang push pin sa bibig ng bata subalit nalunok na niya ito.

2 BIFF bandits, soldier killed in latest Maguindanao hostilities 

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao --- Two members of a local terror group and a soldier were killed in a gunfight Thursday in Shariff Saydona Mustapha town, Army officials said Saturday.

The slain Sgt, Jungie Dizon was in a team dispatched to check the reported presence of members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in an interior barangay in Shariff Saydona Mustapha when they were attacked from two directions, provoking a gunfight that resulted in his death.

Abogado, patay sa pamamaril sa Surallah, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY - Binaril at napatay ng di pa nakilalang mga suspect ang isang abogado sa Surallah, South Cotabato pasado alas 5 ng hapon Mierkules. 

Nakilala ang biktima Atty. Juan Macababbad kung saan pinagbabaril ng dalawang suspek sa harap mismo ng kanyang bahay sa Surallah.

Kinumpirma din ito ni IBP South Cotabato chapter president Lawyer Remegio Roxas at kinundina ang mga gumawa nito.

Hiling ni Atty. Roxas at mga kapuwa abogado sa lalawigan sa PNP na kilalanin at arestuhin ang mga suspect, pati na ang utak sa pagpatay.

'Jolina' infra damage reaches nearly P60-M: DPWH

MANILA – Damage to infrastructure caused by Typhoon Jolina has reached almost PHP60 million, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Friday.

In an update, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the typhoon has so far damaged an estimated PHP59.5 million of roads and flood control structures.

He reported that three national road sections are currently impassable to all types of vehicles while two roads have limited access due to Typhoon Jolina.

Senate approves Bangsamoro transition extension

—With 15 affirmative votes, three negative votes, and one abstention, the Senate on Monday approved on third and final reading the bill postponing the first regular elections of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from May 2022 to May 2025. 

Senators Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao, and Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto rejected the measure, while Senator Imee Marcos abstained from voting.

2 slain in separate Maguindanao gun attacks

COTABATO CITY - Two persons were separately murdered in Maguindanao MOnday morning.

The first victim was woman believed to have been shot by gunmen on board a car and dumped her beside the highway in Barangay Taviran, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

Residents said they heard gunshots at about 4 a.m.  Police found two empty shells for pistol in the crime scene.

An hour later, police later found a man on motorbike sprawling along the highway in Barangay Limbo, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

1 patay, 9 sugatan sa Tboli vehicular crash

TBOLI, SOUTH COTABATO - Labis ang paghihinagpis ng pamilya ng isang estudyante matapos itong masawi sa aksidente sa daan sa Barangay Sinolon sa bayan ng Tboli.

Batay sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, papunta sa Jance Resort sa Barangay Lower Maculan, Lake Sebu ang mga biktima na pawang mga estudyante na nasa 12 hanggang 18 taong gulang ang edad sakay ng topdown.

Pagdating sa provincial road ng Barangay Sinolon ay nawalan umano ng kontrol ang driver ng sasakyan na si Mitchelle Peñafiel, 16 anyos, dahilan na nahulog ang mga ito sa kanal.

BARMM COVID update: 1 dead, 26 new cases

COTABATO CITY - SA BANGSAMORO REGION, isa pang taga Maguindanao ang namatay dahil sa COVID-19 ayon sa Ministry of Health.

Dahil dito, tumaas pa ng hanggang 359 ang total death cases sa BARMM.

Samantala, mas mataas naman ang bilang ng mga gumaling kaysa mga bagong kaso ng nakamamatay na sakit.

Sa latest tally ng MOH-BARMM, abot sa 29 ang mga gumaling, higit na mas marami ito kaysa 26 lang na bagong kaso.
