3 men nabbed for shabu possession MAKILALA, North Cotabato (Sept. 8/NDBC) – Three men,
identified as Abdullah Mansib Alimudin, 18, Mohamad Cadalen Sapalon, 26,
Samsudin Paglas, all residents of Kayaga, Kabacan, North Cotabato, were
arrested in an anti-drug campaign by Makilala PNP over the weekend.

The raid was conducted
in Baslid Street, Barangay Saguing, Makilala where the police seized three
heat-sealed sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as
shabu,” sets of motorcycle keys and drug paraphernalia.

KORONADAL CITY (Sept. 5/NDBC)— To ensure successful prosecution of cases filed by police in courts,a top police official in the region on Friday said all policemen should bepresent during court hearings. Chief Superintendent Lester Camba, police regional director for SOCCSKSARGEN region,said, appearing in court hearings, especially in cases involving illegal drugs, should be a priority of all policemen. A police officer who was ask to appear in court can ask permission from their station commanders, Camba said on the rationale of physical presence in court by law enforcers.

(Sept. 5/NDBC) – For failure to pay taxes, the city treasurer’s office shut
down eight stalls inside the city’s mega market. Koronadal City Treasurer
Marloun Gumbao said the closure order was carried out after repeated reminders
to stall owners to pay rentals turned to deaf ears. One stall owner owe the
city government about P8,000 rentals.
Gumbao warned shut down stall owners not to attempt to unlock the stalls
