COTABATO CITY - Inaresto ng PNP ang isang 25-anyos na lalaki matapos lumabag sa ipinatutupad na Comelec gun ban sa Castor Street, Brgy. Poblacion 2, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato kaninang umaga April 12, 2024.

Kinilala ni Pigkawayan town Chief Police Major Andres Sumugat, ang suspek na si alyas “Ian”, 25-anyos, binata at residente ng Purok Sun Rise, Glan, Sarangani Province.

Ayon kay Sumugat, alas 5:00 ng umaga ng nakatanggap ng impormasyon ang kanilang himpilan mula sa isang concern citizen tungkol sa ginagawang pangugulo ng suspek sa naturang lugar.

DINAGSA ng libo-libong mamamayan ang ilan sa mga prayer venue sa lungsod upang magsalah ng Eid kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Fit’r ngayon araw.

Ito’y kinabibilangan ng Cotabato City People’s Palace, Bangsamoro Government Center at ang Grand Mosque.

Nagsimula ang pag simba ng mga mananampalatayang islam sa pamamagitan ng pagtakbeer magmula ng inanunsyo ni Bangsamoro Darul Iftah Grand mufti Abdulrauf Guialani ang opisyal na resulta ng moonsighting kagabi.

Iginiit aniya ng Pangulo na dapat paghandaan ang nalalapit na eleksyon dahil mahalaga na magkaroon legitimacy at accountability ang halalan.

Nagpahayag rin ng boung suporta ang pangulo para sa darating na halalan.

Katunayan ayon kay Galvez, nag-usap na sila ng COMELEC para magkaroon ng voter's registration sa Camp Darapanan.

COTABATO CITY - Policemen are tightly guarding a detained cousin of a slain leader of a local terrorist group, arrested on Monday after selling P170,000 worth of shabu to non-uniformed policemen in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur.

The suspect, whom police and Army officials initially identified only as Abu Gharib, meantime, while efforts to validate his links with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters are still underway, is now under joint custody of the Shariff Aguak Municipal Police Station and the Maguindanao del Sur Provincial Police.

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao Norte - Authorities from the Sulu Provincial Police Office confiscated 45 boxes of various cigarettes in Sitio Pamawlan, Barangay Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu.  The law enforcement operation was conducted on March 28.

The Indanan Municipal Police Station received information from a member of the Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN) about the transportation of alleged smuggled cigarettes in the coastal area of the aforementioned location. Indanan MPS personnel promptly acted on the report.

MANILA – The United Kingdom has hailed the creation of the Bangsamoro region as one of the world’s few successful peace processes as it joined the Philippines in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Agreement of the Bangsamoro (CAB).

In a statement dated March 27, 2024, the UK Embassy in Manila congratulated the government, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, and the Bangsamoro people on the milestone.

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) Ministry of Health (MOH) is taking decisive measures to prevent and combat the spread of the measles outbreak by expanding its vaccination activities throughout the region.
 
In a press conference held here on Thursday, March 21, 2024, the MOH announced its extensive vaccination activities starting in April, following the outbreak declaration. This initiative aims to ensure that many residents will have access to the measles vaccination, thus protecting them from this infectious disease.
 

COTABATO CITY - Higit 1,200 PNP personnel, ipapakalat sa BARMM ngayong Holy Week upang magbantay seguridad

ITO ANG sinabi sa DXMS Radyo Bida ni PRO-BAR Regional Director BGEN Allan Nobleza ngayong papalapit na ang Holy Week o Semana Santa.

Ayon kay Nobleza, abot sa 1,287 PNP personnel ang ipapakalat sa mga simbahan, mga pasyalan, airports, seaports, terminal at iba pa.

Kung sakali aniya na kukulangin ang mga idedeploy, pwede itong dagdagan, depende sa sitwasyon.

COTABATO CITY — Two feuding Tausug clans in Sulu reconciled on Monday, ending a bloody 50-year conflict that exacted no fewer than 50 fatalities on each side and maimed at least 13 other individuals.

The two clans, one led now by Fhena M. Idjirani in Parang town and the other by Banden D. Barahama, whose relatives and followers are scattered in several barangays in Indanan, forged a peace covenant brokered by police officers in both towns and the director of the Sulu provincial police, Col. Narciso Paragas.
