DAR-SK provides P306K worth of aid to farmers amid COVID-19 pandemic

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - Through the issuance of Quarantine Accreditation Passes (QAPs) to farmer groups in Sultan Kudarat, the Department of Agrarian Reform provided marketing assistance to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries' Organizations (ARBOs) by linking them to micro and small enterprises and buyers, thereby securing food sustainability in and around the province.


GenSan farmers, fishers receive P21-M aid from LGU, DA

The Department of Agriculture in Region 12 (DA 12) has teamed up with the city local government of General Santos in delivering agriculture and fishery assistance to thousands of farmers and fisherfolk.

On Thursday (May 7), DA 12 and GenSan City LGU distributed more than PhP21-million worth of agri-fishery aid intended to assist farmers and fishers continue their farming and fishing activities amid the imposition of general community quarantine in the city.


DA-12 to distribute free seeds, fertilizers to rice farmers

KORONADAL CITY - After the series of briefings about the Rice Resiliency Program (RRP) in Region 12, the Department of Agriculture (DA) will distribute palay seeds and fertilizers for free to rice farmers.

Arlan Mangelen, DA 12 regional executive director, said that the regional office has started Tuesday the RRP orientation in the province of North Cotabato. “We gathered our local government units through its municipal/city agriculturists to inform them about this because they will perform a crucial function in the implementation of this program,” he added.


To cushion impact of COVID-19 lock down, Sarangani farmers' group gives members rice, cash gift

MALUNGON, Sarangani - The Upper Biangan Farmers Association (UBFA) here joined the bandwagon of helping the needy during the COVID-19 pandemic that affect every Filipino, especially members of agrarian reform beneficiaries associations.

Officials and members of Upper Biangan Farmers Association (UBFA) in Malungon, Sarangani have provided rice and cash incentives to its members comprising Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and Non-ARBs.

A total of 295 kilos of rice amounting to P10,800 were distributed to the 59 association members.

1st “hogstel” project in Region 12 rises in Kidapawan City

The Department of Agriculture (DA) recently turned-over a "Hogstel" Project worth P3.7-million to the city local government unit of Kidapawan.

Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista received the project which is built in Barangay Kalaisan.

“The Hogstel project, funded under the Livestock Program of the DA XII, is a hog facility that would enable swine producers to breed and fatten their animals more systematically,” DA XII regional executive director Milagros Casis said in a statatement.
