NORTH COTABATO – A number of houses were flattened by strong winds that battered parts of the earthquake-wracked Mlang town Tuesday.

The office of North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco on Wednesday assured to extend help to villagers whose houses were damaged by strong winds.

Residents of the municipality have not even recovered yet from the tension and destruction of properties due to strong episodes of earthquakes that hit the area recently.

Mlang is not too distant from North Cotabato’s Makilala and Tulunan towns and the provincial capital, Kidapawan City, also devastated by tremors that jolted the province from between October until late November.
