PNP-12 condemns, probes murder of Kidapawan radioman

GEN. SANTOS CITY -  Police Regional Office (PRO) 12, under the leadership of PBGEN ELISEO TAM RASCO, Regional Director condemns in the strongest possible terms the recent shooting to death, that took place on Wednesday night, of a media practitioner/commentator namely Eduardo Sanchez Dizon of Brigada-News Kidapawan.

The victim was traversing Quezon Boulevard, Kidapawan City at about past 10 in the evening on his Mitsubishi Mirage when he was shot to death by not yet identified suspects.

It was taken that prior to the incident, Bombo Radyo station GenSan on July 4, 2019 was also disturbed by a several shots of not yet identified gunmen on board a red pickup truck.

Attacks on media personalities have been nonexistent in the region for quite some time until the couple of incidents broke out.  Hence, PRO 12 vows to break the case of impunity on Media Killings. A probe on the Bombo Radyo strafing incident is already taking course and a Special Investigation Task Force on the incident of shooting to death of Mr. Dizon will be activated to expedite the investigation process.

PRO 12 also expresses its deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of Mr. Dizon. Likewise, PRO 12 will be on the double as to expedite the probe to find, locate and arrest the culprits of the said shooting incident.

RD PRO 12 calls out to all people, may it be a media practitioner or other civilians to take extra measures to secure your own safety. Do not travel isolated roads late at night as it is prone to crime related incidents and refrain from going to places far from state security forces camps/headquarters.
