NoCot guv lauds provincial PNP for getting national award

KIDAPAWAN CITY  –- North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco today urged the police to double their efforts in protecting the people and serving the country after the provincial police office was chosen as the country’s best police provincial office.

Catamco met Thursday with the officials of (North) Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CCPO), led by provincial director Colonel Maximo Layugan, after she was informed that the provincial police bagged this year’s major award.

The provincial police office bested 81 other PNP provincial offices across the country.  Awarding is scheduled on August 22 in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

“I salute all the men and women behind CPPO especially Provincial Director Colonel Maximo C. Layugan,” Catamco said.

The provincial police office will also receive commendation from the provincial government during the celebration of its founding anniversary on September 1.

“Just do your work religiously, your efforts will be recognized later on, the people of North Cotabato are very proud of you,” Catamco said in the vernacular.
