BASILAN --- The Provincial government and the National Housing Authority (NHA) launched Thursday a 473-unit socialized shelter project in Barangay Menzi in Isabela City.

The 473 houses, to be grouped together as the Al-Hidaya Subdivision Phase II, shall rise on an eight-hectare land in Barangay Menzi, not too distant from the center of Isabela City.

The kickoff rite for the project, costing P23.9 million and expected to be completed within 240 days sans undue constraints, weather disturbances and technical issues, was officiated jointly by Gov. Jim Salliman, Congressman Mujiv Hataman and Isabela City local government officials.

The NHA and the office of the provincial governor have a set of criteria in selecting beneficiaries, premised on humanitarian grounds.
