Man in motorbike mishap arrested for shabu possession

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato - If not for the vehicular accident that injured a resident of Barangay Poblacion here Wednesday morning, he would have get away with his illegal activity.After he figured in a vehicular accident at past midnight today, Marvin Flauta was arrested for possession of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, more known as shabu. Police investigation showed Flauta was driving his motorbike at about 12:30 a.m. when his motorbike smashed a police checkpoint road signage in Barangay Agriculture.Responding traffic officers of Midsayap PNP were checking on the certificate of registration and driver's license of Flauta when they found two sachets of suspected shabu.Flauta was opening his wallet for motorcycle records when police found the shabu. Police also found five piecesaluminum foil, disposable lighters and a rectangular black box.He is now detained at Midsayap lock up cell facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
