Magnitude 4.0 quake hits Moro Gulf

COTABATO CITY – A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hits Moro Gulf today that affected Zamboanga del Sur, Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao, the state volcanology and seismology office said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the quake, tectonic in origin, struck at 9:10 a.m.

It was traced 65 km east of Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur and has a depth of 012 kilometers.

In its bulletin, the Phivolcs said Intensity II was felt in Cotabato City, Intensity I in Kiamba, Sarangani.
