Cops haul fish sold beside the town's main thoroughfare as they implement local ordinance.

KALAMANSIG, Sultan Kudarat - Police authorities here on Sunday hauled containers and fish peddled by fish vendors beside the highway as they implement a local ordinance against selling of marine products outside the town public market.

"We have been tired of reminding them not to sell fish outside the market," a police officer said as they implement Municipal Ordinance No. 33 or an ordinance centralizing the selling of fish at the public market.

The ordinance requires fish vendors to only display and sell their fish and other marine products inside the fish section of the town market.  Otherwise, the marine products will be confiscated and the vendor penalized.

As soon as the police arrived, the vendors ran for their lives and left their wares beside the highway.
