ISULAN – The Department of Agrarian Reform Sultan Kudarat recently launched the largest Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) Cluster in Region XII, combining 5 adjacent municipalities which aims to usher in new projects and programs for agrarian reform beneficiaries, farmers and farmworkers in this province.

According to Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Rodolfo T. Alburo, the newly launched ARC Cluster is the largest in the region, aptly named “KaSaNAg” which stands for Kaunlaran sa Nayong Agraryo and clusters the 7 existing ARCs in Esperanza, Isulan, President Quirino, Lambayong and Tacurong City, covering 100,478.5 hectares and 103 barangays.

Alburo added that the clustering will provide more agrarian reform services to the beneficiaries with priority programs such as the distribution of 1,505.0711 agricultural lands, provision of agri-enterprise development, as well as infrastructure projects like the construction of Farm-to-Market roads, bridges, flood control projects, irrigation, provision of pre and post-harvest facilities, potable water systems, day care centers, among others.

Local government unit representatives conveyed their utmost gratitude to DAR for the opportunity to help their constituents and improve the well-being of the recipients, and committed to give their full support in all the programs and projects that the KaSaNAg ARC Cluster will bring to their municipalities and to the province of Sultan Kudarat in general.
