Dizon, former town councilor of nearby, Makilala, North Cotabato, was heading for home when shot near Colegio de Kidapawan (CDK) college.

He was negotiating a right turn when fired at by gunmen.

Colonel Maximo Layugan, police director for Cotabato province, said manhunt had been launched against the perpetrators.

In Cotabato City, Brigada News FM-Cotabato station manager and Cotabato City Councilor Florante “Popoy” Formento was hit by cellophane filled with human waste at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
