Diocesan priest dies in vehicular crash in Tacurong City

TACURONG CITY -- A diocesan priest serving as parish priest of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat has died hours after he figured in a Sunday late evening vehicular crash in Barangay Bo. 2, Tacurong City.Fr. AllanCrismie MondejarBuendicho, DCC, parish priest of St. Joseph Parish in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, expired at St. Louis Hospital in Tacurong City. He was 48 years old.Fr. Ben Torreto, DCC, rector of the Notre Dame Archdiocesan Seminary, said Fr. Allan was driving a motorbike heading to Lambayong when he unintentionally hit a tricycle in front and was hit by another motorbike following him at past 10 p.m. in National Highway Barrio Dos, Tacurong City.Fr. Allan and his relatives, identified in the report asKing Buendicho who was back-riding with the slain priest, and two other relatives on separate motorbike, were heading to Lambayong from the wake of a relative in Barangay Bambad, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.Fr. Edwin de Gracia, parish priest of President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat said Fr. Allan expired at 2:15 a.m.Fr. Allan, who served as vicar forane of the Midsayap Vicariate and parish priest of Libungan, North Cotabato before he was assigned in Lambayong, was ordained priest on April 25, 1995.Interment is yet to be announced. Fr. Allan Crismie Mondejar Buendicho was born on February 28, 1969 at Tinumigues, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.He studied at Tacurong Pilot Elementary School and the Notre Dame of Tacurong for Boys (High School). He graduated from the Notre Dame Archdiocesan Seminary in 1990 and from the St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary in 1994. He was ordained deacon on November 12, 1994 at San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City and was ordained to the priesthood on April 25, 1995 by Archbishop Philip F. Smith, OMI, DD at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Cotabato City.Fr. Allan served as Assistant Parish Priest in Lebak Parish right after his ordination (1995-1997). He was made Parish Priest of Banisilan Parish in 1997 until 1998 while serving as the Archdiocesan Youth Director. He also served as Parish Priest of President Quirino Parish (1998-1999), Isulan Parish (1999 – 2003), Queen of Peace Parish (2003-2004), Bagumbayan Parish (2004-2009), Libungan Parish (2009-2014). Lambayong Parish was his last parish assignment (2014-2017).The St. Joseph Parish Church in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat where Fr. Allan M. Buendicho, DCC was the the parish priest.
