KIDAPAWAN CITY --- A local court has ordered the arrest of two of three suspects in the July 10 murder of radio commentator Eduardo Dizon.

Dizon was critical of the controversial Kapa money market scheme that President Rodrigo Duterte shut for alleged violation of regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Anti-Money Laundering Council.

Sotero Jacolbe, Jr., one of the two suspects named in the warrant issued last week by Judge Henelinda Molina-Diaz of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 here, today voluntarily yielded to the city police.

The other suspect wanted by the court, Junell Gerozaga, is at large.

The warrant for their arrest was released about three weeks after acting city prosecutor Mariam April Mastura-Linsangan charged Jacolbe, Gerozaga and Bong Encarnacion, whose real name is Dante Tabusares, with murder in connection with the fatal ambush of Dizon.

The RTC Branch 61 only ordered the arrest of Jacolbe and Gerozaga.

Key sources from the North Cotabato provincial police said Encarnacion filed early on a motion for the review of the charges against him.

A team of plainclothes police agents are still trying to locate Gerozaga, who has been missing since the city prosecutor filed a criminal case against them in court.

Gerozaga has not filed a counter-affidavit either while the prosecutor was evaluating the complaint from police against him and his alleged cohorts.

Dizon was driving his car on his way home from work when he was attacked by men on a motorcycle.

Encarnacion, then operating a radio station here, was an endorser of Kapa and a member of the Kapa Ministry’s self-styled media team.

He bolted from Kapa recently due to reported differences with its founder, Joel Apolinario, and established his own religious bloc, the Universal Church of God.
