MARAWI CITY - Four men believed to be members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) attempted to sabotage the election in Marantao, Lanao del Sur at about 5:20 p.m. Monday.

Colonel Romeo Brawner, commander of 103rd Infantry Brigade, said the four MILF members attempted to throw grenade or improvised bomb at soldiers guarding a precinct near Bagong Elementary School where voting was taking place.

"The explosives hit a half-opened windshield of Toyota Hi Ace van and exploded inside," Brawner said.

Two persons seriously injured and two others were arrested.

The suspects are still unidentified as of posting.
