MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato – Three education graduates of Notre Dame of Midsayap College made history by making it to the top 10 of this year’s Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), NDMC officials announced today.

NDMC education graduate Angelo Paculo Florague was No. 8 in LET for secondary.

A total of 11 education graduates from Notre Dame Schools across Mindanao have landed in the top 10 list of passers, according to Oblate Fr. Ramon Bernabe in his social media posts.

Fr. Ramon Ma. Bernabe, former OMI Philippines provincial superior, said of the Top 10 LET passers, three were from NDMC, two from Notre Dame University, three from Notre Dame of Marbel University, three from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, and one from Notre Dame of Kidapawan College.

“Congratulations and honor to Notre Dame!” Fr. Bernabe told all board passers from Notre Dame schools.

Fr. Bernabe said added to this list is Top 7 Marlon Torio, Notre Dame of Greater Manila (NDGM) 2014 graduate and Ateneo de Manila University 2018).

Torio is now high school faculty of the Oblate-run NDGM High School faculty member.

Data from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) website, showed that 28,973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees (31.34%) and 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) successfully passed passed the licensure examination given last September.

The NDMC performance was 89.29 percent passers in Elementary and 88.12 percent for secondary education.

“This is the first time NDMC grabbed 3 topnotchers in a single board exam,” NDMC president Fr. Domingo said in a statement.

“We had one top 8 in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board and one Top 6 in Criminology board examination,” he said, adding: “Kudos to College of Education Dean and Faculty, the NDMC community.”

Fr. Domingo said: “They pray hard, studied hard and sacrificed hard to achieve top spots and very satisfactory passing rate against the national rate. Our 3-year strategic directions are reaping the fruits now. It worked!”
