PDEA, cops arrest woman peddling illegal drugs in Tacurong City

TACURONG CITY  – Police and anti-narcotic agents arrested here Wednesday morning a woman who was known for peddling illegal drugs in the city.

Director Naravy Duquiatan of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12 and Lt. Colonel Rey Egos, Tacurong City police director, led the 7 a.m. law enforcement operation that led to the arrest of Christy Pagales in Barangay New Isabela, Tacurong City.

“Pagales is a target-listed personality of PDEA-12 for her involvement in peddling illegal drugs in Tacurong City,” Duquiatan said.


Soldiers seize IEDs found in abandoned Dawlah hideout 

MAGUINDANAO --- Soldiers seized a dozen home-made bombs and components for powerful roadside explosives abandoned by Dawlah Islamiya gunmen following a brief encounter on Thursday morning.

Personnel of the Army’s 57th Infantry Battalion, a unit of the 601st Brigade, also recovered in the surroundings of the Dawlah Islamiya hideout in Shariff Saidona Mustapha town in Maguindanao assorted medicines for common ailments and blasting powders for improvised explosive devices.


Sabi ng YBL private terminal nila operational na uli; sabi ng city government wala itong business permit

KORONADAL CITY - Simula ngayong araw, balik na sa kanilang private terminal sa Gensan Drive ang Yellow bus Line Inc.  

Ito ang sinabi ni Boy Par, YBL operations manager, sa DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal.

Ayon kay Par, sumusunod lamang sila sa naging utos ng korte. Dahil dito ay balik normal na ngayong araw, February 27 ang kanilang operasyon. Dagdag ni Par na pwede na silang magsakay at magbaba ng pasahero sa kanilang private terminal.


436 of 543 villages in North Cotabato now drug cleared

COTABATO CITY - An inter-agency oversight committee has declared “drug cleared” 436 of the 543 barangays in North Cotabato province.

The oversight committee, led by Naravy Duquiatan, director for Region 12 of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, is aiming to have the remaining 107 barangays in North Cotabato declared drug-cleared within the year.

Records obtained Wednesday from the committee indicated that 436 of the 543 barangays in North Cotabato have been declared as drug-cleared in recent weeks.


Cotabato Light says its payment and customer service office open today

COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) has announced that its Collection and Customer Service office located at Al Nor Shopping Mall is open today, Feb. 25, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For payment options, the Cotabato Light said clients may transact with Third Party Collection Agents - ECPAY, Cebuana, CIS Bayad Center, Mlhuillier and SAVEMORE (Citimall).

Mag-asawa sa Koronadal City, pinagsasaksak at napatay, suspek nahuli

KORONADAL CITY - Patay na nang datnan ng "drier caretaker" ang mag-asawang matatanda sa loob ng kanilang bahay sa Barangay Magsaysay, Koronadal City kahapon ng umaga.

Ito ay ayon kay Magsaysay barangay Chairman Luz Bustillo.

Kinilala ni Bustillo ang mga biktima na sina Arturo Aquino, 68 years old retiradong sundalo at misis nitong si Erlinda, 75 years old, retiradong midwife.

Ayon kay Bustillo nakita ng kanilang “drier boy” ang wala nang buhay, duguan at pinagsasaksak na mga biktima mula sa nakabukas na pinto ng kanilang bahay.


Military anticipating retaliation from group of slain drug dealers

MAGUINDANAO --- Authorities are bracing for possible retaliations by a heavily-armed drug trafficking gang that lost two members in an encounter with anti-narcotics agents last week.

The fatalities, Sindatuk and Nurhamin, both surnamed Pendaliday, were known errands of their relative, Abdullah Pendaliday, alias “Commander Grasscutter.”


No clues yet on ambush of prosecutor

COTABATO CITY --- Probers are still trying to identify the gunmen who shot and wounded in an ambush Friday the deputy provincial prosecutor of Maguindanao.

Fiscal Tocod Ronda and his two companions, Abol and Nestor, both also surnamed Ronda, were wounded in the attack.

Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Monday their intelligence units are helping the Cotabato City police identify the gunmen behind Ronda’s ambush.


Court orders arrest of 18 behind ALAMCCO pyramid scheme 

GENERAL SANTOS CITY --- A court has ordered the arrest of 18 operators of a pyramiding money market scheme using the Alabel-Maasim Credit Cooperative as front.

The Regional Trial Court Branch 46 in Alabel town in Sarangani issued last week yet the warrant for their arrest for syndicated estafa but copies were obtained by media outfits in central Mindanao only on Saturday. 


Off duty cop fired at ambushers of Maguindanao prosecutor, saving official's life

COTABATO CITY — An unidentified police officer has helped save the life of a Maguindanao prosecutor who was ambushed in a housing subdivision here Friday afternoon.

Police Captain Rustum Pastolero, Police Station 2 chief, admitted that and an off-duty police officer near the house of Fiscal Tucod Ronda, the deputy provincial prosecutor of Maguindanao, opened fire on the suspects who tried to come closer to the bullet riddled Toyota Grandia van to finish off the victims.

Gunfire from the unidentified police officer forced the suspects to back off and fled.
