PhilHealth 12 hosts RSDC-12 meeting in Koronadal

KORONADAL CITY - In support to the Regional Development Council (RDC), the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth 12) sponsored the Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) Meeting on Monday, January 25, 2019 at Villa Amor Hotel here.

RDC is the highest policymaking body in the Region and serves as the counterpart of National Economic Development Authority NEDA) board at the subnational level.

RSDC on the other hand under RDC is an organisation of government and private institutions providing social services to the public.


Kidapawan water district to activate temporary water line

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Efforts are doubled by personnel of Metro Kidapawan Water District (MKWD) to provide water supplies to the western part of the city.

MKWD vowes to complete the project by Nov. 30.

"Water supply once available will be on intermittent basis, since this is only a temporary line. Salamat sa pagsabot, Bear with us," the MKWD said in a statement.

Koronadal City's giant Christmas tree downed by strong wind

KORONADAL CITY - A giant Christmas Tree in front of the Koronadal City Hall was toppled by strong wind amid drizzles Saturday afternoon.

The 120 feet Christas tree is expected to be launched next month.

It has 2,400 Christmas lanters as decors made by Indigenous Poeples that could have made the giant Christmas tree too heavy to bear. Thus it easily gave way after strong winds. 

The city govenrment has ordered an investigation.


Cotabato Light extends financial aid to scholars, lauds board passers

COTABATO CITY  – As part of its strong corporate social responsibilities (CSR), the Aboitiz owned Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) has extended education assistance to high school students studying within its franchise area.

On October 25, the 14 Cotabato Light scholars received financial assistance of P7,300 each, according to Ben Caro C. Arkoncel, Cotabato Light President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).


Cotabato Light, Aboitiz foundation extend aid to North Cotabato quake victims

COTABATO CITY – In an effort to help cushion the impact of earthquakes to residents of Tulunan and Makilala, North Cotabato, the Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) and the Aboitiz Foundation have prepared food packs and turned them over to town officials.

Ben Caro C. Arkoncel, Cotabato Light President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), said the Aboitiz firm spearheaded the Mindanao Relief Assistance and prepared 1,500 food packs.

Search team retrieves remains of 2 kids in Koronadal

KORONADAL CITY - Search and rescue teams have found today the remains of two children who went missing in a creek during heavy down pour on Monday.

The remains of the victims were separately found under files of bamboo poles and debris along a small river in Purok Hechanova, according to Provincial Disaster Risk REduction and Management Office (PDRRRMO) Operations and Warning Chief Rolly Doane Aquino.

Aquino said the Koronadal Urban Search and Rescue Team found the boy at about 6 a.m. The second child was found few meters away at past 10 a.m.


Fire razes homes in quake hit Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY - A fire of still unknown origin gutted Friday dawn several homes and business establishments here.

The Bureau of Fire Protection placed the damages at about P1.5 million.
