condition of Tunggol Brigde, a vital connection across the man-made channel
that borders Datu Montawal and Pagalungan, all in Maguindanao.

Man hacks to death drinking buddy in Aaakan, N.Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY
(Sept. 6/NDBC) – Two men knew each other pretty well, having been neighbors for
some time in the same village in Arakan town in North Cotabato.

But what
police believed was BFF” or best friend forever” suddenly turned ugly when,
after several shots of wine on Friday night, forced one of them to kill the
other.

Senior
Inspector Rolly Oranza, Arakan police chief, identified the suspect in the
hacking incident as Marlito Terado and the victim as Eduardo Roa, both
residents of Barangay Salasang.

Floods hit North Cotabato upland town too

on environment that even in upland towns, like this municipality experienced
floods.

About 20
farmers in the village of Alegria were displaced when the Kabacan River
overflowed due to inclement weather the past five days.

Kabacan floods affect 8,435 families

KABACAN, North
Cotabato (Sept. 5) -- The floods that submerged nine villages of Kabacan, North
Cotabato has affected 8,435 families, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council said today.

This after the
Pulangi and Kabacan Rivers overflowed Wednesday, disaster officials said.

Of the 8,435
families affected, about 162 families are now staying at two evacuation
centers.
