Sulu school principal shot dead

COTABATO CITY -- An unidentified gunman shot dead Saturday night the officer in charge of a public high school in Luuk, Sulu, the military-led Joint Task Group Sulu said.In a reported posted on TJTG-Suluwebsite,Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, JTG-Sulu commander, identified the slain school head as Edwin Saraji, 41, a resident of Kakuyagan Village, Jolo, Sulu. He was the OIC principal of Luuk National High School.Citing police reports, Arrojado saidSaraji was walking at about 7:30 a.m. in Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo when a man arrived from behind and sht him in the head using cal.

Banga cops arrest wanted man,, woman with shabu arrested too

BANGA, South Cotabato - Police authorities here arrested Thursday night a woman who hired a habal-habal (passenger motorbike) to fetch suspected shabu from Sto Nino, South Cotabato.Chief Inspector Marvin Duadua, Banga police chief, saidRona Dajay, 46, of Barangay Zone 3, Koronadal City was arrested at a highway police checkpoint.Duadua said the Banga PNP has received a tip from concerned citizen about Dajay who went to Ambalgan, Sto Nino town to secure suspected shabu.Police then put up a checkpoint inBarangay San Vicente, Banga where Dajay was to pass on board a habal-habal.
