PNP, Army consider 5 Maguindanao towns as hot spot areas

BULUAN, Maguindanao – Police and military authorities considered five towns in Maguindanao
as hot spots and to be placed in areas of immediate concern” category to
prevent violence and ensure smooth 2016 local and national elections.

Gunman ends dreams of 15 year old boy in Parang town

PARANG, Maguindanao - A Grade 9 pupil here was shot dead Tuesday afternoonby unidentified gunmen in what police and victim's relatives believed was an off shot of long standing family feud.Chief Sr. Insp. Arnold Allan Bulusan, identified the victim as Mocser Macapeges of the Macapeges clan and student of Notre Dame of Parang.Bulusan said the victim was shot by motorcycle riding men just outside the school compound at past 12 noon. He sustained a gunshot wound in the head from 9mm pistol and died instantly.The slain student was laid to his final resting place at past 5 p.m.


Soldiers in civilian vehicle strafed in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY - Identified gunmen strafed a passing Toyota hilux pick-up vehicle along a highway in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao Monday night, police said.The vehicle, owned by a soldier of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, was from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat and was heading toward Barangay Ilian when fired upon by gunmen, according to Senior Insp. Cops file charges vs. driver of van that crashed in Matalam, leaving 9 dead

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- Police in Matalam town in North Cotabato filed today charges against the driver and operator of a van that figured in one of the worst road accidents in the province.
Senior Inspector Elias Colonia, Matalam police chief, said charges included reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide multiple serious physical injuries and damage to properties.
Charged, but still subject of police manhunt, was van driver Brendo Singco of Pikit, North Cotabato.
