Villagers dislocated by hostilities in Maguindanao

MAGUINDANAO --- Hundreds of families were dislocated by the clashes this week between the Dawlah Islamiya and units of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division.

The Dawlah Islamiya terror group, also known as the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, is using the flag of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as banner.

Girl returns to burned home to look for her "alkansya"

Hindi bakas sa mukha ng batang si ‘alyas Mae’ ang lungkot at panghihinayang matapos na maabo ang kanilang buong bahay sa Nursery Phase 1, Kidapawan City kamakailan.

Kabuuang 200-pesos naman na mga barya ang nakolekta ni Mae matapos nitong balikan ang kanyang alkansiya na hindi rin pinalampas ng nasabing sunog.

Sa likod ng kanyang ngiti ay ang sakit na nadarama nang malamang nadamay sa sunog ang alaga nitong aso.

Isa lamang si Mae sa mga inosenteng bata na nakararanas ng trauma pero piniling ngumiti sa kabila ng pagsubok na napagdaan sa mura nitong edad.

North Cotabato has new full time provincial administrator

KIDAPAWAN CITY  - A lawyer named by North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco as provincial administrator has earned the nod of members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

In a regular session Tuesday, the provincial council confirmed the appointment of Atty. Nicholas “Nicky” S. Marasigan as provincial administrator.

“I appreciate the move of the provincial council for entrusting the job for me,” Marasigan said in a radio interview.

More than 2k family-quake victims get relief aid from NDBC Operation Tulong

KIDAPAWAN CITY – As part of its corporate social responsibilities, the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation (NDBC) continued its relief operations and distribution of assistance to victims of earthquakes that rocked the province since last month.

The latest area that received aid from NDBC Operation Tulong was the village of New Baguio in Makilala, North Cotabato.

About 400 families in the village are yet to receive ample assistance to survive at least three days.

2 women, man nabbed in Cotabato City anti-drug ops

COTABATO CITY - Two women were and a man were arrested during drug buy bust operation in a village here Tuesday night, police said.

The operation was conducted in Purok 6, Sitio Esteros, Barangay Rosary Heights 9, Cotabato City at 6 p.m. that earned recognition from Cotabto City Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi for police's performance.

TESDA 12 delegates haul gold, silver and bronze medals

DAVAO CITY - The Technical Education and Skill Development Authority Regional office 12 delegates won three gold, one silver and one bronze medals in the recent concluded 2019 Visayas Mindanao Zonal Skills Competition held here.

Fourteen competition areas and almost 500 delegates from Visayas and Mindanao, including Luzon competed in different skills competition which TESDA offered all over the Philippines.

Kent Brian Amande won a gold medal in “Information Technology Software Solutions for Business” with his expert Nur Ali Padasan.
