ARMM joins Australia investment mission as country show interest in Marawi Crisis

COTABATO CITY -- For the first time, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has joined an official Philippine government investment mission and trade delegation abroad. ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman authorized the chairman of the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI), lawyer Ishak Mastura, to actively participate in the Trade and Investment Mission to Australia from August 6-11, 2017. This is organized by the Board of Investments (BOI) - Manila under the Philippine Investment Promotion Plan (PIPP) program.


ARMM calls for greater investments in Basilan and Sulu

COTABATO CITY --In the recent 2017 Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) Roadshow for Basilan and Sulu held in Zamboanga City organized by the Regional Board of Investments, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM), the business sector together with the ARMM regional government (ARG) agreed to call for greater investments in Basilan and Sulu. Sulu and Basilan are surrounded by rich fishery grounds such as Basilan Strait, Moro Gulf, Sulu Sea and Celebes Sea producing quality aqua marine products and fishes.


ARMM wants to supply cassava from Marawi and Lanao to Nestle's P2-B Milo plant

COTABATO CITY -the Regional Board of Investments of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM) said that the region is eager to supply the need for cassava and cassava flour to Nestle's P2 billion Protomalt processing plant for its MILO health food drink.Nestle recently announced that constructionof the MILO malt plant in Lipa, Batangas began in December 2015 and is expected to be completed in October 2017.Earlier it was reported that Nestle sought the help of the Department of Agriculture to source and increase supply of cassava for its MILO plant.The main ingredients for the MIL


Mid-year ARMM investments grows 100% w/ P3-B telco project

COTABATO CITY -- The Regional Board of Investments of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM) today released the figures for its registered investments for the first half of the year. This was a result of its recent mid-year assessment and report.The figures show that registered investments in the ARMM have exceeded by 100 percentthe Php1.3 billion mid-year investments registered in 2016.At this time 2017, the RBOI has already registered Php3.65 billion, which is more than 100 percentthat of mid-year 2016.RBOI has registered three investment projects for 2017.


ARMM okays P3-B telecom investment originally intended for Marawi

COTABATO CITY - The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) recently approved during its 3rdJoint Management Committee and Board of Governors Meeting the Php3 billion telecommunications investment of TierOne Communications International, Inc. (TierOne).The investment project seeks to put up a telecommunications carrier in the ARMM. Initially, TierOne planned to conduct its first rollout program for Marawi City.


Traders support all Moro convention for ARMM stability

The ARMM Business Council (ABC), as the umbrella organization of business
chambers and trade associations in the region, today expressed support to the
call for an all Moro convention in order to foster stability in the area.

This was
learned by the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) after the conduct of their
investment roadshow for Maguindanao last week.


ARMM approves P33 M shipping project

COTABATO CITY - The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) recently approved the registration of J. SAYANG SHIPPING LINES, INC. The company based in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi is providing shipping services for traders in Tawi-Tawi through a 494 metric tons (MT) capacity general cargo vessel to ply the route from the ports of Basilan, Jolo, Tawi-Tawi and Polloc, Maguindanao going to Malaysia and other member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).The P33.5 million cargo transport project will directly create 23 jobs.


DTI-ARMM launches 'Diskwento Caravan' in Maguindanao
