Cops arrest wanted NPA member in Sarangani

SANTOS CITY - Police authorities in Region 12 today announced the arrest of a wanted member of New Peoples Army (NPA) during law enforcement operation in Maitum, Sarangani Monday afternoon.Chief Supt. South Cotabato village councilman slain in ambush

POLOMOLOK,
South Cotabato – Unidentified gunmen shot dead a village councilman
here and injured his wife in an early evening shooting Saturday, police said
today.

Chief Supt.
Eliseo Tam Rasco, police regional director for Region 12, identified the slain
official as Dima Macaludos, 45, village council members of Barangay Lumakil,
Polomolok, South Cotabato.

His wife,
Rohania, 42, was also injured and is now stable at a government hospital.

Cops release CCTV images of suspects in Cotabato bombing

COTABATO CITY – Police authorities released here Friday night the CCTV captured
images of two men suspected to have carried out the pre-New Year bombing in
front of SouthSeas Mall that left two dead and 34 others injured.

Senior Supt.
Oliver Enmodias, head of Special Investigation Task Group (SITG-SouthSeas),
presented to media the images of the two suspects who were seen carrying bags as
they entered the mall few minutes before the blast.

Duterte distributes CLOAs to North Cotabato farmers

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- President Rodrigo Duterte today led the distribution of the Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) of North Cotabato Province, telling beneficiaries to use the land to get them out of poverty.

Fire hits Purok Islam near GenSan central public market

KORONADAL CITY -- A fire of still unknown origin hit a residential/commercial area in Gen. Santos City in front of the city's biggest public market at about 9:50 a.m. Friday.The fire started along the row of makeshift charcoal stores in front of the public market and beside the coast.
