Tubong Kidapawan City, top 4 sa PNPA Mandayug Class of 2020

Isang 22-anyos na tubong Kidapawan City ang pasok sa top 10 ng Mandayug Class of 2020 ng Philippine National Police Academy o PNPA.

Si Lindon Pariña Narvaza, na taga Barangay Singao ng lungsod ay nasa ika-apat na pwesto mula sa dalawang daan at pitumpu’t apat na magsisipagtapos ngayong taon.

Kwento nito, taong 2015 nang pumasok ito sa loob ng academy at undergrad siya ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering sa isang paaralan sa Davao City.


Teacher, 8 others nabbed during anti-drug ops in Soccsksargen

COTABATO CITY --- Nine drug dealers, one of them a school teacher, were arrested one after another in a series of police operations in Region 12 on Sunday.

The operations that resulted in the arrest of the nine shabu peddlers involved personnel of the provincial police offices in Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and North Cotabato provinces.

Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus, director of the Police Regional Office-12, said Monday the nine suspects fell in one entrapment operation after another, laid with the help of local officials.


Cotabato City student studying in Davao tested positive of COVID-19, 2 others from Region 12 also positive

COTABATO CITY  – An 18-year-old male student stranded for two months in Davao City and availed the Balik-Bahay program of the city government of Cotabato to return home was tested positive of COVID-19, city government officials.

Dr. Meyasser Patadon, the city health officer of Cotabato, confirmed the eight COVID-19 positive patient in the city contaminated by the dreaded disease. He is now in an isolation center.


Male gov't employee in Cotabato City tested positive of COVID-19

COTABATO CITY - A 26-year-old man from Cotabato City is the 17th coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient in Region 12 after he was tested positive of the disease Friday.

The Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region said his patient number is yet to be released.

He is a government employee and is asymptomatic and remained in stable condition. He has no travel history to areas where there were high cases of COVID-19 positive.

Several people with whom he had close contact with were also placed under 14-day quarantine effective immediately.

Balances from bills with due dates falling within ECQ period (March 16 to April 30) can be paid in four (4) installments. First installment will be applied in May bill.

2 more cases of "suspected" COVID-19 in Cotabato City, total "suspects" now at 48

COTABATO CITY  - Two new suspected COVID-19 cases have been reported in Cotabato City, raising the new cases to six since April 30 and total of 48, the city govenrment today said.




3 more Dawlah Islamiya gunmen surrender in North Cotabato

NORTH COTABATO --- Three more members of the outlawed Dawlah Islamiya surrendered Wednesday through the intercession local officials and the military.

Lanny Madaluday Salem, Rocky Kinal Paguital, and Usman Abas Salem, also turned in assault rifles and materials for improvised explosive devices to the Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion based in Barangay Nabalawag in Midsayap, North Cotabato.

They belong to a group under Imam Karialan, who is wanted for a spate of deadly bombings in central Mindanao’s adjoining Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat and North Cotabato provinces.


Village councilor slain in North Cotabato ambush

NORTH COTABATO - A village councilor was killed while a village chairperson was hurt in a gun attack in Matalam, North Cotabato Wednesday afternoon.

Reports from North Cotabato police provincial office identified the victim as Norodin Solaiman Ambel, village councilor of Barangay Kilada, an agricultural enclave in Matalam.
