Cop hurt, 3 suspects arrested in Maguindanao illegal drug buy bust operation

COTABATO CITY – A police officer was slightly injured while three suspected illegal
drug pushers were arrested in a police anti-illegal drug operation in Datu Anggal
Midtimbang town in Maguindanao Sunday, police said.

Nickson Muksan, Maguindanao police provincial director, said elements of the
Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force backed by the Army’s 2nd
Mechanized Infantry Battalion, raided a remote village in Datu

Indigent senior citizens in Tacurong receive social pension

Phivolcs records 7 quakes in Mindanao one in Luzon

COTABATO CITY -- The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), in its bulletin, on Sunday said it recorded seven earthquakes in Mindanao and one in Luzon in the past 30 hours or since dawn Saturday.The latest strong tremor was of magnitude 5.7, tectonic in origin and traced 58 kilometers west of Bolinao, Pangasinan, the Phivolcs here said in its bulletin.It happened at 3:40 a.m.

COTABATO CITY - At least three houses were razed to the ground in a fire that hit Rosales Street,Barangay Rosary Heights 6, Cotabato City Monday afternoon.Cotabato City Bureau of Fire Protection spokesperson Fire Inspector James Rah told DXMS Radyo Bida that the fire struck at about 4:30 p.m. in one of the houses made of light materials and quickly spread to adjacent homes.Rah said fire fighters arrived on time and put off the fire minutes later with the help of local residents.He said arson investigators are still determining what triggered the fire and thecost of damages.
