Fire hits Isabela City coast

COTABATO CITY - The Office of Civil Defense in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (OCD-ARMM) today reported a fire incident in Isabela City, Basilan province.The OCD-ARMM said the conflagration erupted at about 5:30 p.m. from unknown origin.In its report, the OCD office said the fire gutted down undetermined number of houses at the Barangay Fort Area, Isabela City.Most of the destroyed houses were made of light materials situated along the coast.


Investors eye Matanog town for investments - mayor

MATANOG, Maguindanao -- Several foreign
investors from Asia, Middle East and South America are now in close contact
with the local government here for investment in agriculture.

Matanog Mayor Mohammad Kits” Guro said investors

Child dies after falling into burning rice husks in S. Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Police authorities in Pikit, North Cotabato believed the murder Thursday of a village chair was triggered by long standing rido (family feud) involving the victim and his attackers.Senior Inspector Sindatu Karim, Pikit police chief, investigators had initially believed that family feud was believed behind the killing of Chairperson Dhats Simon of Barangay Bulol, Pikit and his escort-relative Akmad Bantas. North Cotabato village chair, escort die in ambush

PIKIT, North Cotabato – Unidentified
gunmen shot dead a village chair and his escort in a remote village here
Thursday afternoon, police said.

Chairperson Dats Simon, villa chair of Barangay
Bulol, Pikit and his escort Akmad Bantas, died instantly from multiple gunshot
wounds, according to Senior Insp. Sindatu Karim.

Karim told DXND Radyo Bida Koronadalsaid Simon was driving his Honda motorbike
with Bantas heading toward Barangay Bulol when ambushed along a dirt road by
five gunmen in Barangay Gli-Gli at 3 p.m.
