KIDAPAWAN CITY -At least six people were killed when two armedarmed group clashed in the boundaryofTulunan, North Cotabato and Colombio in Sultan Kudarat on Tuesday morning, police said.Senior Inspector Ronnie Dillera, Tulunan chief of police, said the clash happened in Sitio Saban, Barangay Maybula, when about 30 armed menattacked a group oftilling their farms at about11:00 a.m. Dillera said the firefight between the two group lasted for 3 hours which resulted to the death of three farmers.

KORONADAL CITY -- Unidentified armed men torched Monday night three heavy equipment of a private construction firm in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, officials said.Mayor Antonio Fungan of Lake Sebu confirmed to DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal the burning of two backhoe and a bulldozer owned by Gemma Construction firm.Fungan said the firm is working on a road project in Sitio Lamsuguing, Barangay Lamfungon, Lake Sebu.The attack occurred at past 8 p.m.Fungan said there were reports two men were killed in the incident but this is still being verified.No one has claimed responsibility for the attack b


Maguindanao man kills grandson mistaken as tiyanak”

PARANG, Maguindanao – A 42-year-old man killed his 4-year-old grandson after he mistaken the child as tiyanak” on Sunday night while the town was experiencing power outages, police and suspect said.
A tiyanak” is a vampiric creature in Philippine mythology that imitates the form of a child.
The suspect, Orak Mantawil, was in total disbelief when interrogated at Parang Police Station. Full of remorse, he sought forgiveness from the child’s parents and his relatives.

of Jolo mourned the tragic death of Fr. Jose Ante, OMI in a highway accident in
Matanao, Davao del Sur Friday.

Messages of
condolences poured as the news about Fr. Ante, more known as Fr. Joe,” spread
in the social media and the online news network of Notre Dame Broadcasting
Corporation Friday noon.

Fr. Jose D. Ante, 79, dies in car accident in Davao Sur

COTABATO CITY -– A missionary priest who
has been serving war-torn Sulu for the past few years and once served as Oblates
of Mary Immaculate provincial superior, died in a vehicular accident in the
national highway in Matanao, Davao del Sur Friday, police said.

Fr. Jose Ante of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate died
expired at the Sinawilan Medical Clinic in Barangay Sinawingan, Matanao, Davao
del Sur at 9:30 a.m, according to Police Officer 2 Arturo Papas, traffic
investigator of Matanao PNP.
